This past Labor Day while surfing the Internet I came across several different ways to package greeting cards for gift giving. One style in particular - a Pizza Box - caught my eye. I had made smaller versions of the Pizza Box for Love Notes (you can view one here.), but had never made the larger version for A2 (standard) size greeting cards. I decided it was time to give it a try. I pulled out some of my Baja Breeze card stock and some matching Designer Series Papers. I was impressed with how quick and easy the box was to make. I was able to make 6 different Pizza Boxes to coordinate with cards that I had in my stash. I love this idea for gifting an assortment of cards because once empty the box can be filled with something else and gifted once again.
Here is one of the finished boxes:
The Designer Series Paper that I used (Ski Slope) has already been retired. This second photo shows the open Pizza Box with the cards I designed for it... and a second card (on the left) using our current Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper available in the Holiday Mini Catalog.
Other supplies I used to create the card and box are:
Stamp Set: Snow Swirled
Ink: Baja Breeze
Card stock: Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Accessories: Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper (Holiday Mini, pg.33), Subtles Brads (pg.187), Ticket Corner Punch (pg.200-201), Stampin" Dimensionals (pg.197) and Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive (pg.197)
Note
: I viewed a lot of websites that day and can't remember where I found the pattern I used... so I am sharing this one. I have included the dimensions and steps on the template itself. Click on the image for a larger version.I plan to start a photo gallery soon, and will be posting additional samples either there or on my facebook page... so be watching for them. Meanwhile, if you have any questions about this - or any other posting - please feel free to contact me via phone, email, or by posting a comment on my blog.
Happy Stamping~
