Designer Series Paper: Just Add Cake!

Today I am moving on to Stampin' Up!'s Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper collection (pg.185).  I LOVE the bright colors used in this collection.  They inspired me to create this pieced of framed art for my Stamp Room.

I used Stampin' Up!'s soon to be released Simply Scored Scoring Tool to create the Rosettes/Medallions... that have become so popular again.  (I remember them from about 10 years ago!) The Simply Scored Scoring Tool makes them so quick and easy to create.  The background card stock is Chocolate Chip.  Other products used are:

The last project share for today is another card made with one of the medallions I didn't use in the framed art shown above.  (Can you tell that I absolutely LOVE these Rosettes/Medallions that have made a come-back!?!)

Designer Series Paper: Paisley Petals and Bravo Burgundy!

Here are two more projects using Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper.  This time I have chosen to work with Stampin' Up!'s Bravo Burgundy card stock.

The card is quick & easy to make with very little stamping since the floral design is part of the patterned paper.  The saying is from Sincere Salutations (pg.160) and is stamped in Bravo Burgundy.  I've added highlights to the printed flower using the same sneak peek product shown here.  (More about this next month!)

The box was made from Bravo Burgundy using the Big Shot Box #2 Die (pg.221).  I also used:

Inks: Bravo Burgundy

Card Stock:  Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla, Whisper White

Designer Series Paper: Paisley Petals

It's time to move on to another one Stampin' Up!'s wonderful collections of Designer Series Papers.  Today and tomorrow will be projects using the Paisley Petals collection... and the Strength & Hope stamp set that will retire on August 31, 2011.  Be sure to check both of these on-going promotions while you still have time to take advantage of them!  (Links to both promotions can be found in the lefthand sidebar... under "Promo".)

I created today's card for a challenge on Sudsol... a Yahoo Group that is exclusively for Stampin' Up! demonstrators. The candle has been decorated with a strip of Paisley Petals DSP mounted on Old Olive card stock.  The layered flower made using shapes from Stampin' Up!'s Boho Blossom Punch (pg.210) covers the overlap giving it a more professional appearance.  I love how our scrap pieces can make something simple look so elegant! :O)

In addition to the previously mentioned products you will need:

Buzzin' By... A Little Late!

Time got the best of me yesterday.  Before I knew it the day was gone and I hadn't shared these two cards with you.

They feature the now retired Just Buzzin' By stamp set from Stampin' Up!  Both cards were CASEd (C-opied A-nd S-tole E-verything) from the SUDSOL samples gallery.  (If you would like to learn more about SUDSOL then keep reading.)  Although the stamp set and Designer Series Paper are retired, the layouts are simple and can be reproduced with most of Stampin' Up!'s products... retired or new!  I hope that you will take the time to make some of your own.

Saying Goodbye to Simply Said!

Those of you who have attended my classes over the past few years will know how much I am going to miss the stamp set... Simply Said.  I have used it on so many different occasions and for so many projects over the years.  One of my favorites was a One Sheet Wonder class that I held before I ever started blogging.  The above banner features a collection of the cards made during that class.

Greenhouse Gala Galore!

New Meets Old!

As you know, the old catalog year is ending and the new one is about to begin.  There are several Designer Series Papers that I am going to miss... a lot.  Sunny Garden is one of them!  I was hoping there would be another color change for the new catalog since there had been a purple version (Cottage Wall) in last year's catalog, but.....

I decided that today was the day to share the following card... made using the retiring Sunny Garden and the still new Flower Fest stamp set from the Summer Mini (pg. 20).  I look forward to sharing additional projects using Flower Fest!
