First of all... Merry Christmas to all of you! I hope that you had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends... and that the New Year brings you health, happiness and lot of time for stamping!!! :O)
Second... I realize that I have been M.I.A. (Hey, that's my nickname!!!). I was so busy making items for my displays downtown that I neglected to share any of the projects with you... my readers. I didn't even share my last minute candy favor! Shame on me!!! I decided to start by sharing these photos of my display at Julale Shopping Center in Hagatna, Guam this past November. Click on them to see a larger picture.
This photo shows the whole display.
I learned years ago when making and selling handmade country and holiday decor that one should vary the height of the display to make it more visually appealing to those attending. I have done this by using two angel popcorn tins purchased specifically for this purpose. I package items in them for transporting to and from the fair and then use them in the display for added height. I've also recycled a wooden shelf that my husband no longer needed. It is covered by the tablecloth. The items on the table itself are for sale, while most of the items on the shelf and in the card holders are samples for upcoming classes.
[Note: Some of you may be curious about the card holders on top of the angel tins so I will tell you now.... I bought them from one of my downline (Hi Michelle!) when she moved to her new house several years ago. They were a product available to Mary Kay Consultants and unfortunately are no longer available.]
This first close-up is of the left side of the table. Items displayed (from left to right) are: "Color Me" Build A Bear card sets and embellishment packages, Covered Post-it Pad & Pen sets, Thanksgiving Party Favors Kit, Pizza Boxes filled with cards, Gift Boxed Pocket-Bacs from Bath & Bodyworks, Gift Boxed Tealights from PartyLite,
Cello wrapped Tealights, Itty Bitty Gift Boxes, Mini Library Pocket Ornaments, Tea Bag Holders and additional gift boxes. On the shelf are: several Big Shot Favor Boxes, a Valentine Itty Bitty Box, Framed Art (borrowed from my upline... Thanks Nancy!), a baby themed Big Shot Milk Carton box (Thanks Jill!), my version of the gift bag on page 32 of the Holiday Mini Catalog, Thanksgiving themed candy jars, sample for a 2nd Thanksgiving Favors Kit using the Big Shot Two Tags die (Stampin' Up! Exclusive!) and samples for my upcoming Garden Giggles class (Thanks Gretchen for your creativity!!!).
This second close-up is the right side of the table. Items not shown in the first
picture are: Additional samples of the Garden Giggles baskets, Reindeer Poop Buckets (one is on the 2nd angel tin), Christmas Cards, Thanksgiving and Christmas Cello Treat Bags, Candy Cane Reindeer, Christmas Skinny Bags, more Mini Library Pocket Ornaments, a Decorated Gift Bag (also on loan from Nancy!) and samples for my upcoming card classes. In the lower right corner are the items for my Make & Take project... a simple gift tag using two different sizes of circle punches and the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
(Note: the Holiday Mini Catalog expires on January 3, 2011 so you need to get your orders for those products in NOW!!!)
This final photo is a last minute candy favor that I designed to give out to those who assist me during the Holiday season. I needed something that was quick and
easy. I had lots of candy canes left over after my displays so this was perfect! And... I had cut the tags from my Very Vanilla, Whisper White and White Confetti card stock at the same time I cut the tags for the Two Tags kit (shown in the first close-up) so they were ready to go making the favors even faster to create!!!
To recreate them you will need:
Stamp Sets: Occasional Quotes (Level 3 Hostess set)
Inks: Jet Black StazOn, Real Red and Wild Wasabi
Card Stocks: Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzaz and Real Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Big Shot Two Tags Die, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Medium Circle Punch, 3/4" Medium Circle Punch, 1/2" Small Circle Punch, Two-Step Extra Large Owl Punch (for the berries), 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch, Sponge Daubers, Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Ribbon.
Now for a special announcement to you... my reader! To make up for not having shared with you sooner, I will be revamping the holiday items into more current versions (Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, etc.) as I have the time. The first of the projects I will revamp is the Gift Box I designed specifically for Bath & Bodyworks PocketBacs. It will include a FREE photo tutorial as my (belated) Christmas present to you. There is an exclusive Stampin' Up! product that makes creating it so quick and easy... and it is much less complicated than others that I have seen online... so you will definitely want to come back and check it out.
I look forward to your next visit... and to any comments you have regarding my display, my projects, and the tutorial (once it is posted!). Until then...
Happy Stamping~
Mia
