Today I am finally sharing some photos from my Christmas Card class that was held earlier this month. I say finally because although I have shared some of the card samples, I didn't share any photos of the class itself. Those who attended agreed that you should be able to see how much fun we all had! So....

This is my last Occasions Mini Catalog share. It is also my favorite one... and I love how it turned out! I designed it in honor of my mother who died several years ago. I still miss her so much and felt that with Mother's Day coming up it would be the perfect time to pay tribute to her!

I have been busy designing an all-new One Sheet Wonder (OSW) Template and Class Tutorial. I was going to make it available sooner, but decided to wait until now so that I could give you more options. The 12 cards shown in the above banner were made using the template, Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper (Occasions Mini Catalog, pg.15), Thanks for Caring Stamp set (Occasions Mini Catalog, pg.13), and an assortment of papers, inks and embellishments.... but any 12x12 Designer Series Paper and stamp set can be used. The tutorial includes measurements for all the pieces of card stock and DSP... and a step-by-step cutting guide for the 12x12 page of DSP. It also includes an alternate set of samples using a different DSP and stamp sets.
Note: This is NOT a class planner so it doesn't include the cutting instructions for anything other than the 12x12 DSP. However, every card is pictured... followed by a supply list for that particular card... including the measurements of the different layers of card stock. The list is followed by a step-by-step (in words) of how to cut the DSP and assemble that card. It is a "cut as you go" tutorial so no need to number or label the pieces! This technique causes less confusion as to which piece of DSP is for which card... because it is cut as you need it. Those making the cards - whether individuals or class attendees - will cut their own supplies... providing an opportunity for them to learn how to use their paper cutters. (added May 2, 2011)

I will be hosting two more classes for the month of August... and decided to share one card from each of the classes with you today.
The Tropical Party Class will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 2:30-5:00pm. It will feature 12 cards - 3 different designs - using the Tropical Party stamp set and Island Oasis Designer Series Paper from the Summer mini catalog. At least one card will also make use of one of our many Big Shot Impressions Folders.
The Quick Cards Class will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 2:30-4:30pm. All cards will feature embellishments using the Big Shot... and images from the Perfect Punches stamp set.
The classes will be held at my home in Yigo, Guam. Class fees are $25.00 each and must be paid in advance to reserve your space. Those who sign up and pay for both classes by 9:00pm Friday, August 13, 2010 (Guam time!) will receive a $5.00 discount on the class total. I'm including a PayPal button below for your convenience.

May is National Scrapbooking Month! In honor of the holiday, I will be hosting two scrapbooking classes during the month. They are:
Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' Class
When: Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1pm *
Where: Yigo, Guam
Class Fee: $30 **
You will be creating eight different 12x12 single layout pages using the contents of the Love Sparkles Simply Scrapping' Kit (shown on page 167 of the Idea Book & Catalog). Class participants will have stickers remaining that can be used to embellish additional scrapbook pages... or cards.
Sunny Day Simply Scrappin' Class
Where: Yigo, Guam
Class Fee: $30 **
You will be creating five different 2-page layouts (Ten pages all together) using the contents from the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin' Kit (shown on page 164 of the Idea Book & Catalog).
NOTE:
* Classes will begin at 1pm and last until you are finished your pages, so the end time will vary depending on the skill of each participant.
*** The class fees includes the cost of the Scrappin' Kit. Classes must be pre-paid by April 30, 2010 to allow enough time for me to order the kits for the classes. All participants should bring their own adhesive of choice.

I played with my I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and my scrap stash again today to come up with more creations using hearts in "un-Valentine" ways.
Here are two different cards using the same elements. It always amazes me how much changing just one or two things can change the whole look of a project!
The first card is a standard A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2" - half of an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of card stock) greeting card. The second card is 3" x 6" (a 6" square that is folded in half.) I haven't made one with these dimensions in awhile, and decided it was about time that I did.
What do you think of my Heart Flowers? I love the depth the shading gives them. Yes, the Heart Flowers were created from scraps of Whisper White and... No, although the Garden Green stems and sepals are from scraps... they weren't that small to begin with. They were punched and trimmed from larger scraps.
Other than the dimensions of the cards themselves, there are three other differences between the cards. The first card has a Basic Black card stock layer, Sahara Sand sponging around the vase, and Rich Razzelberry 1/2" polka dot grosgrain ribbon. The second card has a scrap of Razzelberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper behind the vase.

Last Saturday's Love You Much Class went well. Everyone who participated walked away not only with the projects they completed during the class but I few extra surprises as well. I had prepared some bags of the retiring products we had used: Riding Hood Red card stock, Pink Pirouette card stock and Candy Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also included a small sample of Dazzling Diamonds and some extra Stampin' Dimensionals to play with at home. At the end of the class each of them was allowed to choose two cards from my samples using these same products. It was a win-win situation for all!
This coming Saturday I am holding my Upsy Daisy Class. I realized that although I have had this class posted on my Calendar of Events Page for more than a month now, I never posted a picture of the samples to my blog. Here it is now... along with the class details!
