Project: Lip Gloss Holders!

I've been so busy preparing for another rubber stamping display at Sea Grill in Tumon, Guam on Sunday (11:00am - 2:00pm) that I have neglected to share some of the finished projects with you.  Here is one... a Lip Gloss Holder!  It is another adaptation of a pattern from fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Melissa Stout.

To recreate these you will need the following supplies:

Project: Another Good Egg Treat!

Easter will be here before we know it, so we need to start getting ready now!  This means we need to start planning what our special treats will be so that the supplies can be ordered.... and the candy bought.  This is especially true for those of us on Guam if want to get them rubber stamped and assembled in time for the holiday and before our stores run out of their candy supplies! 

Today's project is designed to help you get started with planning your own Easter treats!

Project: Final Un-Valentine Class Card!

The cards from my Un-Valentine Class series all incorporated hearts in one form or another... and they used scraps as well.  The same is true of this Punch Art card... the last one in the series.  I kept envisioning the carp that are often displayed outside homes on Asian holidays... and dangling carp earrings.  This is the result of those visions.  I call it my Heart Carp card!

To recreate the card you will need:

Project: Un-Valentine Hearts 'N' Scraps Continues!

I told you yesterday that today I would share one of my favorite cards from the Un-Valentine Class with you.  I am still going to do that, but since we have had a houseful of people today... first for the Pacquiao fight and then close friends from Japan who are on Guam for a couple of days... I am already exhausted.  So... here is the card.......

Project: Another Un-Valentine!

I held my Un-Valentine Class today!  Participants made multiples of five different cards.  Two of the cards were already posted on my blog.  They can be found here and here.

Today I am sharing two different versions of the St. Patrick's Day card that I included in the class.  This first one is a true St. Patrick's Day card because it is the three leaf clover that represents the Holy Trinity....

To create this card you will need:

Inks:  Garden Green

Card Stock:  Garden Green, Whisper White

This second card is more of a Lucky Card... since it has a four leaf clover!

* The half pearl from the Pretties Kit was coated with Crystal Effects for one card... Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive for the other.  The Tombow one required a second application of glitter to remove the tackiness of the glue.

Finding Inspiration... through Challenges!

There are times that all of us run into dry spells in our creative thinking.... Yes, even me!  One thing that always inspires me is a card challenge that I find on the Internet, in a magazine or even one that I give myself.  This card was inspired by a challenge that I found on Sudsol... a group that is for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  (If you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and not already a member of Sudsol, then you can find more information here.)

In this challenge we were provided with the layout for the card.  It was up to us to change the card in some way to make it ours.  I chose to change the colors, papers, and stamp set.  To duplicate the card you will need:

Inks:  Rich Razzelberry, Old Olive

Project: Another Sweet Treat!

Well, I had so much favorable feedback from my last two postings that I decided to combine the two and create this....... using some of my scraps, of course!!!

 
I created a sliding piece in back of the large egg so the candy can be removed without destroying the card itself.  I wasn't able to do that with my Ladybug Sweet Treat card because of the thickness of the chocolate.  I had intended to fill this Sweet Treat Cup with Rolos, but they are too thick.  The only other option here on Guam were these Spring themed M&Ms.  I love how well they match the Stampin' Up! colors!

Project: Ladybug Sweet Treat!

I was shopping at Payless Supermarket (Guam's locally owned supermarket chain!) and came across the cutest ladybug chocolates.  I knew I just had to buy a package of them for this... my first Sweet Treat Cup card.

One of the demonstrator groups that I belong to recently issued a challenge to get out products we haven't used in awhile to create something to share.  Several of my recent postings have done just that with the Pretties Kit.  This project also meets that challenge because... although they are fairly new... I hadn't used my Sweet Treat Cups yet.  I've also continued the challenge to use scraps by adding the Modern Label focal point.

I purchased the Something Sweet stamp set unmounted so I was able to line up the cling label so that the inside edge of the petal was right on the edge of the punched out circle.  It was so much easier and faster than using a wood mounted image and the Stamp-a-ma-jig!  (Can you tell that I love our new unmounted images... and am looking forward to many more?!?)

Inks:  Jet Black StazOn, Summer Sun and Old Olive

Card Stock:  Whisper White, Basic Black and Summer Sun (Scrap)
