It has been awhile since I played with my Stampin' Up! RubOns so I decided it was time to pull them out and create something different. I realize that decorated jars are not new... but I haven't seen anyone else layering the RubOns like I have here. The images I've used are from "A Perfect Day" (pg. 173).
I love that one can put anything in these little jars! I have put candies since they will be my Valentines to some special people in my life. (No more info there since I want them to be surprised!) Once emptied then can be refilled with more candy, sugar, bath salts, etc. And since I chose to use the "A Perfect Day" collection they can be displayed/used year round... although hearts are wonderful anytime of year!
A word of caution..... This is not a beginner's project! I advise practicing single images on glass/ceramic and layerd images on cardstock before doing layered images on glass. There are so many things that can go wrong when layering. Ask me how I know. LOL! Another tip... Make sure that you rub the edges real well... and that you let the jar sit overnight to cure before handling. If you don't then the images will rub off when handled. As always, be sure to wash any chemical residue and oils off your glass jar before starting. Once decorated they should be cleaned gently with a soft damp cloth.
Now, pull out those RubOns that you have in with your supplies and create something wonderful for yourself or someone special in your life!
Happy Stamping~
Mia
